Verdict: who the Phenom 300 suits
The Phenom 300 suits 4 to 6 passengers on flights of up to about three and a half hours. It is fast, economical and comfortable for its size, with a private aft lavatory and a good amount of baggage space. For larger groups, longer flights or a stand up cabin, step up to a midsize or super midsize jet.

Cabin layout and floor plan
The Phenom 300 cabin is laid out as follows:
Cockpit and entry door, with a side facing seat or small refreshment centre opposite
Club seating: four seats facing each other, with fold out tables
Two forward facing seats on some aircraft, for up to 6 or 7 passengers
Private aft lavatory with a solid door, unusual and valuable in a light jet
Baggage: an external hold in the tail plus a small nose compartment
The cabin height of 1.50 m means you stoop to move around, as in every light jet, but seated the cabin is roomy for its class and the large windows make it bright. The 300E interior has redesigned seats with more legroom and a quieter cabin.
Range in practice
With 4 to 6 passengers and bags, typical nonstop trips:
London to Ibiza (about 740 nm) or London to Nice (about 560 nm)
Geneva to Mykonos (about 1,050 nm) and Paris to Lisbon (about 785 nm)
London to Marrakech (about 1,240 nm)
Johannesburg to Cape Town (about 690 nm) and Johannesburg to Victoria Falls (about 530 nm)
Nairobi to Zanzibar (about 370 nm)
Flights over about 1,600 nm with a full cabin, or from short and hot runways, may need a fuel stop. A midsize or super midsize jet is the better choice there.
Charter price per hour
The Phenom 300 charters for €3,000 to €4,500 per flight hour on our pricing, the low end of the light jet range.
