Air Cargo Charter, Direct with the Operator
Whole aircraft freight charter for loads that do not fit the scheduled network: high volume, dangerous goods, perishables, garments on hanger, outsize and project cargo. We place your shipment directly with the airline that flies it, anywhere in the world. Need a freighter by the month, not by the flight? See the aircraft available on ACMI.
When a Cargo Charter Beats Scheduled Air Freight
Scheduled belly space and consolidations work until they don't. A charter gives you the whole aircraft, your timetable and your routing. It makes sense when:
-
The volume is too big for the scheduled network. Seasonal garment peaks, product launches and harvests can fill a main deck freighter on their own, and buying the whole aircraft is often more predictable than chasing allocations across several carriers.
-
The cargo is restricted. Many lithium battery shipments, other dangerous goods and live animals are forbidden in passenger aircraft or heavily limited in belly space. A freighter operator with the right approvals removes that constraint.
-
The deadline is fixed. Production line stoppages, AOG spares, event freight and humanitarian response do not wait for the next weekly rotation.
-
The destination is badly served. Plenty of airports in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East have little or no freighter service. A charter flies point to point with no transshipment and no hub dwell time.
-
The cargo is outsize. Pieces too tall or too long for a lower deck need a main deck or nose loading freighter, and choosing the aircraft starts with the door dimensions.
Cargo We Charter For
High Volume General Cargo Full and part charters for shippers and forwarders who need guaranteed uplift on a lane, one flight or a series. We price the whole aircraft, so the aim is to fill it: we match payload and cubic capacity to your actual load instead of selling you a bigger freighter than the cargo needs.
Dangerous Goods and Lithium Batteries Lithium ion and lithium metal batteries (UN3480, UN3481, UN3090, UN3091), chemicals, aerosols and other regulated cargo, moved under IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations by operators approved to carry them. Tell us the UN numbers, class and packing group at enquiry stage. Operator acceptance of a DG load is checked before we quote, not after.
Perishables and Cool Chain Fresh produce, flowers, seafood and meat, where every hour on the ground costs shelf life. We plan around the harvest and the cold chain at both ends: pre cooled cargo, fast ramp turnarounds, and handlers at destination who can take it straight into cold storage.
Pharmaceuticals and Temperature Controlled Cargo Vaccines, medicines and clinical supplies in active or passive containers, on operators and handlers that can hold the required temperature range from origin to destination.
Garments on Hanger Fashion and apparel moving on hanging racks so it arrives ready for the shop floor. Hanging garment charters need a main deck freighter and a rack configuration planned before the flight, which is why we look at hanging stock early in the enquiry.
Outsize, Heavy and Project Cargo Machinery, generators, oil and gas and mining equipment, vehicles, aircraft engines and anything else that needs a main deck door, a heavy floor or a specialist loader. We start with piece dimensions and weights, then work back to the aircraft that can physically take them.
Humanitarian and Relief Cargo Relief goods, medical supplies and shelter for NGOs, UN agencies and government bodies, including destinations with limited handling, overflight permissions or security constraints.
AOG and Urgent Spares Engines, landing gear and components for grounded aircraft. For a small urgent part a smaller freighter or even a passenger aircraft may be the fastest option, and we will tell you so.
Live Animals Livestock, horses and other animals carried under IATA Live Animals Regulations, on operators with the stalls, crews and veterinary procedures for them.
From Turboprop Freighters to Heavy Jets
We are not tied to any fleet, so the aircraft is chosen to fit your cargo. That can be anything from a turboprop freighter carrying a few tonnes into a short regional strip, through narrowbody freighters for medium loads, up to widebody and heavy freighters for 100 tonnes or more, and specialist outsize aircraft for pieces nothing else can take.
What decides the aircraft:
-
Weight and volume together. Many loads run out of space long before they reach maximum payload, so we ask for both.
-
Piece dimensions. The largest piece decides which cargo doors will work.
-
Distance and runway. Range reduces payload, and short or hot and high runways reduce it further.
-
Cargo restrictions. Dangerous goods, live animals and temperature control narrow the list to operators with the right approvals.
How a Cargo Charter Works
-
1. Send us the load details. Commodity, number of pieces, total weight, dimensions of the largest piece, whether it stacks, any dangerous goods (UN number and class), origin and destination airports, and the date the cargo is ready. The more complete this is, the faster and more accurate the quote.
-
2. We go direct to the operators. We approach airlines that operate the right aircraft on or near your lane and check real availability, payload on the actual routing, DG acceptance and any permits the flight needs.
-
3. You get options with the operator named. Each option shows the aircraft type, the operator, the schedule and the price. You know exactly who is flying your cargo before you commit.
-
4. We arrange the flight. Charter agreement, landing and overflight permits, slots, ground handling at both ends and coordination with your forwarder or customs broker.
-
5. We follow it through to delivery. We track the flight from positioning to offload and confirm when your cargo is on the ground.
Why Shippers and Forwarders Use Jetvice
-
Direct with the operator. We place charters with the airline, not through a chain of brokers each adding their share. That keeps the price closer to what the aircraft actually costs and keeps communication short when timings change.
-
You see who flies your cargo. Every option names the operator and aircraft. No anonymous capacity.
-
Built for forwarders. Many of our cargo clients are freight forwarders. We work behind you, quote you, and stay out of your customer relationship.
-
Honest aircraft matching. If the aircraft being discussed cannot do the job on your routing, we say so early. A cheaper aircraft that offloads half the cargo is not cheaper.
-
Aviation people. Our team comes from flight operations, so payload, range, runway and permit questions get answered properly, not guessed.
Who Our Cargo Clients Are
-
Freight forwarders and consolidators who need a full aircraft on a lane their scheduled partners cannot cover, or extra capacity for a seasonal peak.
-
Manufacturers and exporters in garments, electronics, automotive and industrial goods moving high volume or urgent production freight.
-
Perishables exporters shipping produce, flowers and seafood from origin markets to Europe, the Gulf and Asia.
-
Energy, mining and construction companies moving project and heavy equipment to remote sites.
-
Airlines and MROs needing AOG spares or engines moved.
-
NGOs, UN agencies and governments running relief and development logistics.
Examples of the Work We Handle
-
Palletised freight from the UAE to the Horn of Africa. Around 3.5 tonnes on ten pallets from Sharjah and Dubai to Djibouti. The first aircraft proposed could not make the payload on that sector, so the aircraft choice was reworked around the real numbers.
-
Garment and textile lanes out of South Asia. Full freighter capacity for apparel exporters and their forwarders out of Dhaka and Pakistan, including garments on hanger.
-
Freighter capacity in East Africa. Sourcing regional jet and narrowbody freighters for operators based in Nairobi, including longer term ACMI placements.
-
Heavy long haul livestock. Assessing heavy freighter options for large volume livestock moves between South America and Central Asia.
