How a GOH Charter Works
1. Volume first. Garments on hanger are light for the space they take, so the aircraft is chosen on volume. Usually the main deck fills long before the aircraft reaches its payload limit. We ask for the number of garments, the hanging length and any boxed cargo on the same flight.
2. Rack and equipment plan. Hanging garments need rails or GOH containers set up before loading. We agree with the operator and the handler who supplies the equipment and how it is installed, so loading day is not the first time anyone looks at it.
3. Origin handling and security. Screening, export customs and, for flights into the European Union, the security requirements that apply to cargo from that airport, are confirmed before the aircraft positions.
4. Flight and delivery. Direct to your destination airport, with a handler ready to offload hanging cargo without crushing it.

What does GOH mean in air freight? GOH stands for garments on hanger: clothing shipped hanging on rails or in hanging garment containers instead of folded in cartons, so it arrives ready for retail.
How many garments fit in a freighter? It depends on the aircraft, the hanging length and how densely the rails are loaded. Garments fill the space long before they reach the weight limit, so the aircraft is sized on volume. Send us your garment count and hanging lengths for an estimate.
Is air freight for garments worth it compared with sea freight? When a missed delivery date costs more than the freight, yes. Many brands use air for late production, launches and replenishment, and sea for the rest of the programme.
Can boxed and hanging garments go on the same charter? Yes. Mixed loads are common. We plan the main deck around the hanging cargo and fit the cartons around it.
